KAASU TV - Finnish Shakedown 2008

http://www.vastaheitto.com/videot/shakedown.mov. 8 minutes of the best action from the day, featuring Hannu Tervola. This is where the slow speed practice stuff ends and things start getting serious. Round one of the FPDA Drift Series in a Turku based street course is less than a week away!

    ka24 supercharger

Ignorant fanboyism is an integrated part of the scene, it's the nature of it. Luckily some alternative technical discussion like this topic on good forums like this might heal some of it's victims. :) I do have some experience with 4 stroke internal combustion engines from for example a...

    ka24 supercharger

Well yeah, I just think it's strange to see people throw a good domestic option to the dumpster just because Taniguchi or Kazama didn't have one. :) Okay the SR does have good points to it as well, like having an aluminium block that transfers the heat efficiently and not shitting it's big ends...

    ka24 supercharger

I like the idea as the DOHC KA seems to be a very good performance motor platform, at least in paper. Should provide huge amounts of mid range torque in a responsive manner when supercharged well. If we had KA's in Europe, I wouldn't even look at an overpriced SR piece of shit with the worst...

    Finnish Drifting Shakedown 2008

Yeah, the Opel Ascona was N/A and had no power steering either, so the driver was struggling a bit at first but when he got to the groove, man it went well. He was a first timer as well I was told. The yellow Ford Escort MK1 Mexico was really tearing it up. Only 1600cc of pushrod engine power...

    Finnish Drifting Shakedown 2008

Here's a couple of pics from today. More to come later, with video following in a couple of weeks. Was an awesome day, the smell of burning rubber after the winter really woke me up to the spring feeling. :)

NOPI Drift and Ter-Tech go to Finland

Hehe, I will still be firmly grip racing in '08, only helping out at the drift events. Got my own final race on the Atlanta weekend as well, which is actually good because, to be honest, otherwise I'd have paid the trip to Atlanta out of my own pocket and been skint ever after... But perhaps in...

NOPI Drift and Ter-Tech go to Finland

Hehe, actually I've always been into drifting as well. It's kind of been at the back of my head all along, that if I ever build another race car it'll be for drift. There just weren't any proper drifting events over here when I started with the S12, and in my standards hasn't been a well enough...

NOPI Drift and Ter-Tech go to Finland

That's me, damn drifting stuff has taken all my spare time and haven't had the time to update the Racesilvia site in ages. :o

NOPI Drift and Ter-Tech go to Finland

Greetings from Finland to all the SFL drifters! I've been involved in the founding of the new FPDA's (Finnish Pro Drifting Association) series, and everyone's really excited about the opportunity that Nopi and Ter-Tech+Octane TV are giving to the top guys. Like said above, Radalle.com, one of...
