    I agree about getting a SA05. The SA95 will still be good for most sanctioning bodies till 2010. I never have that problem because I always end up getting a new Helmet every year or so as I just plain wear them out. Like I said Snell MA is good but not fireproof and most sanctioning bodies...

    Strangely Rally Tires get chewed up pretty good but Street tires hold up quite well. Thsi is do to the compounds found in Rally Tires. They are only good for about 20-40 miles of peak performance. For protection from scratches most people use Painters Tape(The Blue stuff from Home Depot)...

    I realize for some money can be an issue but if there is one thing that you shouldn't be cheap with is safety. Particuarly a Helmet. Get one with a Snell Rating of SA95 or better. Snell MA is ok but are not fireproof. DOT helmets are good for the Paramedics afterwords as they keep the brain...

    Nope. The Rules for RallyCross are similar to AutoX. Only difference is that all of your runs count and its not on asphalt.

    we have classes for RwD, FwD and 4wD they are also divided into stock, modified and full blown rally cars. Believe it or not a FwD VW GTI took overall best time at our 1st event this year beating out a couple of Rally Prep Subies. Prepare to get dirty

    Similar to AutoX you are timed to the 100th of a second but your times are added up so every run counts like a rally. In Autocross only your best run counts. $40($35 for SCCA Members) Drifting? Of Course!!!

    Could this happen with a 240SX?

    First off that was a Privateer running in a Non-WRC event. For most rallys run on Tarmac they design them where the cars never attain that kind of straight-line speed.
