I always shoot base coat and clear in separate stages. I don't think I'd have any better results with a single stage. I think you should be fine doing single stage, especially since I assume it's your first time shooting.

You're more stupid than I thought. There is no drift series in Japan on par with Formula Drift that has SR's with less than around 550HP. They also all run nitrous in D1. In drifting, talent can only get you so far.
