Its an upgrade because it makes your car jdm tyte and helps you drift better! In all seriousness, its mainly to be able to run a bigger rotor

Because if I can use maxima brackets with stock calipers then all I need to do would be to just switch them...no jy hunting or anything. I can get new maxima brackets online for cheap and I already have a set of 180sx pads I snatched off ebay a long time ago when I was considering this upgrade...
