ok i finish droping in a fresh 98 ka motor into my friends 92 coupe well i guess not so fresh at the moment the car idles between 1500-2000 and alot of smoke is coming out of the exhuast and i see litlle drops of water or gas iam not sure coming from the exhuast also the engine harnes o2 sensor connector was shreded so put electrical tape around it i also adjusted the idle control valve and it lowered it a bit i turned it to its lowest setting. also we removed the egr pipe from the exhust and pluged up the hole but the hole opened again can that affect anything really desprite for help my friend needs to work asap :)

how long was the car/ motor sitting with out being turned on and if you allredy have the little screw on the side of the intake mani at its lowest setting then try adjusting the throttle body adjuster its on the other side of where the cables go to the throttle body its a little rectangle box with two screws losten them and move it slowley side to side till the idle is right and rev the motor each time you move it it seems to give you a better reading

run the car for a while and tha should go away unless the head gasket is fucked or your running really ritch

wut color is the smoke

White smoke is water and or antifreeze entering the cylinder,Blue smoke is engine oil entering the cylinder area and being burned along with the fuel air mixture,Black smoke is excess fuel that has entered the cylinder area and cannot be burned completely

^^I believe that other screw you are referring to is called the TPS. It has a specific ohm setting that its suppose to sit at idle/wot.

ok if you removed the egr pipe completly what u should do at this pint is cut off the part that screws into the manifold and put a nickle in the hole of the manifold ant srew that sucker in as tight as u can the you should be straight and make sure you dont leave the side on the manifold uncapped make sure its closed and theres no leaks
