The SEMA selection from General Motors was just released and Conrad Grunewald is on the list. After speaking with a former GM agency rep and viewing GMTunerSource it appears that Conrad was issued a car so he can campaign in Formula D. This should be an interesting machine to see sliding around in Formula Drift. Hopefully the car will be campaigned for the 2010 Formula Drift series unlike the Dodge Challenger we were promised at SEMA that has yet and will probably never appear on track in competition form.

why so much pessimism? just because its a domestic? it'll do just fine as a drift car, as long as conrad has the skill theres nothing to worry about.

Everyone was saying the same shit about the Mustang, and look at it now. It's become a monster, and the only American car to win D1.

^ yeah thats almost certain if you are dealing with hennesey

engine doesnt really matter since if they get an SS and I suppose they are it has an LS3 in it already 6.2L is a plenty to work with and make some serious power out of it without having to get a crate engine.

I was talking about them turning it into a circuis attraction with rollerblade wheels and cupcake launchers

Make the car slide and dont freak it

ok so ive driven a new ss and its a pretty tail happy car when provoked itll kick some serious 240/rx7/350z ass come track time

Just cuz it's tail happy doesn't mean it's a good drift car. It might in fact mean that the car will be hard to control in a drift because of it's instabillity. Also sounds like it needs more grip.

if a Scion can drift...... a camaro will kick ass :bigthumbu now is time for them to bring back the F-body :)
