has anyone ever seen a 205 40 16 on a 16x10 or a 205 40 17 on a 17x10?

i like stretch.

my personal best(down below): 195 50 16 on 16x10; good for rears, zero grip for fronts. 225 45 16s would been perfect for front.

im looking at these 17x9 wheels now, wondering what tire sizes i would wanna use...205 50 17s? id rather not do 225 45s bc im only gonna have like 225-50 hp. im wondering if i shouldnt just stick to fifteens for ease of getting tires to burn

that looks really good IMO.. reminds me of back in the day stretching tires on 13's..

For 17x9, I would go with 215/40, not much of a stretch but it looks clean

and yeah the vert was gangsta

Jason, a 205/40 or /45 will work on a 10.. Just make sure to run a better brand tire, not some knock off shit.

Some fk452s and some federal 595s will do.

i have 205/40/17 on a 9 ...probably as far as i would go as far as stretch goes....i also did 205/40/16 on a 9 once ...same deal

225/45 17 with 225-250 hp is fine .. you wont have to fight it.. i used to slide on 225 when i was na ka and when i was ca and never had a problem.. i find its better to run a larger sized tire because when your sliding you actually have grip (wierd concept) but it makes the car alot more controllable .. if i could fit em right now id run like a 265 but i cant only fit a 245-255 on my car right now

Ive always been ito stretched tires...and consider myself well knowledged in it *sizes and that fucking BS
A 195-40 series tire WILL seat on a 10" wide wheel...but its right @ the limit...
If ur gonna run that setup for drifting I wouldnt do it...and im crazy when it comes to this shit and I wouldnt do it.
Id rather do a 45 series profile tire....on a 16X10...
..ofc depending on the tire manufacturer...some tires eventhough the same exact sizes are a lil wider or narrower depending on the brand (Falkens, Federals) and then some are better for stretching and some r a bitch...

Dug up some examples from my stretch tires library lol....

Keep in mind this is on a 9.5! Imagine on a 10....

i tried to stretch a 205 onto a 12. The beads not touching the lip but it holds air havent tried to drive on it but it in no way looks safe. I think you could pull it off on a 10.

He could pull it off....id recommend using a bike tire tube to help the bead seat...or
150psi CheetahFTW lol....
Id do chrome this time tho bruh....;)

Tom speaks the truth.

Tom's ran 235/45's on his 10.5 rears.....and that shit looked STUPID. I dont understand what is so appealing about that shit. When I had my other turbo, I would run anything smaller than a 245. I have a stock t25 on 7psi and 225/50' and 225/45's are PERFECT. Anything less and you're all over the place in transitions. I dont know what the appeal of fighting your car to drift is.

225/45's @ 37psi. 7psi t25. Stock manifold, stock 02 housing. Man up and go faster. At the very most im makin 225whp.

in closing.
retarded tire streches look terrible.
MAN UP AND GO FASTER!
