NOT to look cool, our tach only goes to 110mph having 180mph lets us know esier what speed we are really going. Personaly i wish they made it 140-150mph instead of 180.
 
the fastest you are going to go with a stock 5spd ecu is 113mph in 4th gear. with an auto ecu you can maybe get to 130 if you have a s13 with the lights down
 
i have auto ecu in my 5spd but my ka is a POS. i was going up 41 to naples and i got it to 103mph at 4.5k rpms in 5th gear but only because i'd keep reaching other cars.

btw people take into mind that a speedo after 90mph starts to wonder so you can be going slower then what it says or faster. like 110 in a pacifica is only 100 or 130 im my z is pushing 110. Its just after a point its not as reliabe as you think.

Best word of advice keep it to the speed limit cuz remember its not always just your life that can get taken.

Thats why i did it leaving countyline just a long ass stretch with no on it. It was late too so even less people.
 
Truth be told we have all done it whether on 75, 595, 95 and so forth. Yours and any others hope should be the fact that we mature and realize that it is wreckless to drive past the posted speed limit and lives other than our own are at risk. It's not about your skill as a driver or to a limited degree about the limitations of your car, it's about the other people that are driving around us (yes us) it ultimately includes.

Not all people have a gift with car control and confidence in their driving, in fact most of the drivers on this forum are a minority in comparison to the drivers that we see on the road on a day to day basis.

The fact is people do it and will continue to do it, however all of us who do it must be ready to accept the consequences of our actions if the unthinkable is to happen.

idk about that though...seems awfully fast maybe i stopped at 7k which would be 164
 
i know i do around 145! i was doing a topspeed run with a friend he has a KLZE mx-3 and i was well off in front of him!!! What a blast...
