Ok so i changed the brakes in my GFs 95 rolla. After changing them the car worked fine the whole day. She went home late at night and when she turned off her car she noticed that her brake lights were still on. She turned on the car and reversed and parked it again and they were still on after she turned it off (just those lights). She got tired and decided to just leave it like that and go to bed and have me take a look at it in the morning. I came over and the car turned on fine and everything, but her brake fuse was blown and i cant get her car out of Park... The button wont go in at all. Can u guys help me? i dont think its the brakes but im open to every suggestion
She hasnt had a car all day and she needs it for work...

Thanks in advance

Thanks thats a temporary fix till we can figure this shit out... we gotta drive all the way down to university and commercial from corporate park w no brake lights lol this should be fun

Try the brake light switch behind the brake pedal, my GF"s friends 96 Rav4 had this problem the switch just needed adjustment. this was almost a yr ago and no problems to this day.

There is usually a little plastic piece that goes into a hole on the tab of the brake pedal. That little piece gets brittle and breaks. I bet you will find the pieces on the floor black or white plastic chunks. What I do when this happens is put a small bolt ans nut in the hole so it acts as the plastic piece. Then you will never need to worry again.

The black tab between the spring and the cotter pin in your pic.

Have her hold the pedal down while you install the nut and bolt. The bolt head should be on the side with the switch. The Nut should be on the cotter pin side. Get it?
