98 180sx TYPE X SR20DET MOTOR QUESTION!!!

Hey guys well like title says i have tried searching but found nothing. SO here it goes.

I have a 98 180sx BLACK top but the idiots took the turbo out and replaced it with a non ballbearing turbo. EVERYONE tells me that unless its an s15 its not BB, than my question is WHY does my motor have the water lines blocked off just hanging by the block??? this this motor come with a BALL BEARING TURBO originally?? thanks for the help.
 
ok so it never came with dbb turbo but what about just BB turbo cause i have the water line feed and return from factory...?
 
The newer t28 are water cooled and oil. So they should have both lines and fittings on them. If you have the water lines blocked off odds are they put an older model t28 if there is no where for them to go on your Turbo. Hope that helped. I have a few pics of the newer t28 in my forsale thread you can compare to see which one u Have.
 
All stock sr20det t25 or t28 are both oil and water cooled.

All s13 motors redtop and blacktop (including type x) have journal bearing t25 turbos.

S14 sr20det have t28. Not all are ball-bearing though.

S15 sr20det are ball-bearing t28.
