I have this issue with my A/C. I filled it up with freon (R134) ran it for a couple weeks until my compressor took a shit... leaked out what it had... I don't care about that... Now, the other day, I turned on my A/C to defog my front windshield, and it reeked! I mean it smelled like rotten egg+feet+mold+abused pussy= FUCKIN NASTY! I think it's something collected up in there and rotted or water collected and molded up. I'm not sure but where can this come from, Bad Evap? I want to get rid of the smell, it's starting to smell even when I don't use the A/C... :[

Any suggestions? before I go rip out the dash and the whole A/C system...
 
did u use the r13 with the r12 fittings because ive been tryin to run ac on mines or did u have to rigg it with new lines
 
I used the R134 fittings. They were already adapted to the lines when I checked.



I'll check the cowl now..
 
all you have to do to retrofit is vacuum the system and put on the new fittings to the old ones, and yea you have a cabin filter that collects all outside elements, you need to clean that
