I would if I could figure out how, but I am in a moving car I am not sure how I can make it more steady yet. I am thinking maybe some kind of steady-cam like rig.

yea...not such a good idea when there is a light right after the tunnel, a good friend of mine was hauling ass through the tunnel a few years back and went airborne where it levels out ad landed in the back of a conversion van, needless to say there were many broken bones, alot of plastic surgeries, and 2 totalled cars... use itelligence when going through the tunnel, if not for yourselfm for the person you are going to hit at the light
everyone likes going through there and making a shit load of noise but that doesnt require hauling ass
^^Well Im not talking about going fucking 50 or 60mph or some shit, geesh. Just fast enough to feel the gforces working against your body, but yea... I know all about the light, thats why I said, only when theres not traffic lol. Only a dumbass or someone acting stupid enough would go fast enough to get airborne... I have a little more sense than that thank you.

You can do it using just your tripod its just that you can't really get on it.
One was taken when I was just cruising partial throttle and the other I was on the gas. I had another one where I was going from 2k up to 6.5k but I can't find that one. It was pretty blurry so I probably deleted it. I also have solid motor mounts so there is still going to be a bit of vibration.

Mine is basically like that, I have the back seat folded down. My tripod can basically lay on the ground but its not that low.
I was also going to mount the camera on the passenger headrest which is why I have 2 different seats but never did.

After posting up those pics I wanna go shoot some more of these. Gotta wait for my friend to get back stateside with my fisheye.

I love the shots you put up, I think I saw them up here before. Good tip about the fold-down seats. I did use a tripod, but the car was just vibrating too much. I did exposures from 1/15th to 2 seconds, and I think this one was about a 1/4 sec on a tripod on my console. No matter how stable it's attached to the car, the car is all over the place. The vertical vibrations just don't look good.
I am going to try hand-holding on a monopod with a counter weight, maybe I can get rid of some of the shakes. Maybe a VR lens would help some too. I wont be able to drive and take the pics at the same time anymore :-( These were done at 12mm with an APS-C size sensor. I also want to see what it looks like with a slight telephoto, I think it might be interesting. Could also try to zoom while taking the shot to get the "motion" but keep the center sharper.
I am going to try this again, it was really fun. The bright lights and yellow brick walls are just too interesting to leave alone.
I tried to get some cars in the shot, but it did not look too good because of the vibration. I want to get someone to drive behind me, to get a front-ish view of a car coming through the tunnel.
I got some cool shots of the overhead signs on the highway streaking through the sky. I will post one tomorrow if I can find a good one.
