You want to add a sub basically to your stereo system.

Do you have an aftermarket headunit? Do you already have component speakers up front?

You can run an amp that will power all of your speakers including your subwoofer. This will be a 5 channel amp.

yeah i have a alpine head unit that pretty nice it can also control my ipod :D i already have the componet set up in the front they are infinty's now would i just need to power the componet set alone with a 2 channel and thats it? that would be nice so i could get a smaller amp.

if your components sound good with the headunits built in amp. leave it be.... a 200watt sub isn't going to break your windows... that power sub has a good frequency pick up. seems like a good deal to me. just make sure that there is no loose body panels, or metal on metal contact within the car... that rattle makes the music sound like shit.

no the head unit cant power the compents, so then a another amp will be needed for the componts. poop. as for the powered box, yeah i know that its not going to break windows, but to be honest thats fine, i dont want alot alot of bass, though its sometimes nice to hear a system with that, im not into that for my car, i just want to have something cause the compontes as you guys know dont do anything for bass, just mids and highs as im sure you guys already know. i was just woundering if any have used that sub, and if it could power the 2 compents but you say it wont, so i need to get a 2 chanel amp then to power them right.

thats pretty cool i might look into one myself. I've also had the need for a little bass in my face. The only way to really enjoy some good beats is by feeling the music. Especially when i'm tryin to be pimpin dem 15's

ah ok... i have powered components and subs on a 2 channel. I dont recomend it one bit.... each sub should have its own channel, and you can put 2 components per channer (i.e. both front on Channel 1, both rear on Channel 2, sub on channel 3). Good luck :bigthumbu hope this helped
