Is there any difference in bleeding the fluids and adding fluids to empty lines?

My lines are empty (shell) and i need to add clutch fluid and brake fluid but when i pump the pedals the fluids go down then as soon as i stop they come back into the reservoir.. obviously if i open the bleeder valve all the liquids just spray out of the other end.

if you push the pedal down and open bleeder, then close it while pedal is still down it should stay in there, but yes clutch and brake bleeding is the same thing basically

take a piece of vac line and put it at the end of the bleeder facing up. the air will rize up and fluid will fall down. it makes it alot faster

Both are hydraulic cylinders, same procedure. Or if you dont like pumping the brakes, go by Harbour Freight and buy an air bleeder you hook to a compressor for like $20-$30 and just stick it on, loosen bleeder, suck the fluids out, tighten, done.
