Quick question about the AEM Wideband...Is it possible to do away with the factory 02 sensor and install the Wideband sensor in its place? Or does the wideband work in conjuction w/ the factory 02(meaning i'd have to use both?) I know by removing the stock 02 sensor its gonna throw a CEL immediatley...Also how far down in the exhaust stream does the wideband sensor need to be mounted @? Wideband gurus plz chime in, thanks!

ive seen widebands just after where the cats use to be. i think you need the stock o2 for the ecu and wideband as a monitor i could be wrong tho

the oem oxygen sensor does not work with the aem , they are similar but different, installing the aem about 12 inches from the turbo, or a couple of inches from the downpipe connection is fine ,

Okay so what your saying is 12" off of the turbo's back housing...So it will end up being a little bit in front the stock 02.

if you have a down pipe and test pipe there is a bracket that goes to the tranny, between that bracket and the 3 bolt connection from the manifold and as high as possible without rubbing on the floorboard while the exhaust flexes, and of course before the cattalic converter

thats exactly where i was talking about... but this dude has a straight pipe

if you have the secondary sensor under your car you can remove that one and install it there
unplug it and remove it its a backup reading for the primary on the manifold

You mean if i had the 2nd 02 right b4 the cat? I dont its just straight pipe...Ill do it how you said, i'll measure 12" back from the turbo and drill a hole and weld it there...Thanks dude.
