Aluminum Engine Cleaning

Recently i picked up a k20 longblock and it is really dirty of oil, grime and algae...I've gotten most of the grime and oil off with brake clean and steel wool. I'm looking for a more productive method to clean the block to where i don't have to scrub and scrub and scrub. anyone have any ideas or tips? :bigthumbu

yea i am telling you that purple power is stronger then brake clean. it eats aluminum if you let it sit on it for too long. the only other thing you could do is get some mineral spirts and just try to brush it on to it.

All you are wrong. Get a can of Carb Cleaner. Best thing you can get to clean Aluminum to BRAND FUCKING NEW. Don't even have to TOUCH it with a brush, it sprays it right off.

u can sue purple power or tryn find industrial degreaser its even stronger then purple power dat shit will take of paint on a car in like 2 min probly

i use wheel brite and a parts washing brush. u can get it at the truck parts stores like freightliner. either blue or the clear one... use gloves and dont inhale it u will feel it in ur brain.
