any1 have experience with neons

i was driving my 05 neon today and then all of a sudden my check engine light comes on, n then all of a sudden the car almost diesand did not rev past 2.5k rpm iwould try to give it gas and it just would int go, i put itin neutral and then turned it off n then on again and i was able to drive it home with the no problems but the check engine light stayed on, i used an obd II scanner and got the code p0340 with is the cam position sensor, im gonna replace the sensor this week end, but i was doing som research and i have int heard of anything like this happening to any one cuz of a bad cam position sensor

the cam angle sensor is causing it to retard timing just change the sensor and reset the timeing and you should be good.
