no the thing is here on the last picture u see u can see the arp head stud that came in the kit, and now if you compare it to the oem head stud (right) in this picture:

for one thing; when had tightened the arp head stud seems to stick out a little bit higher than the oem one, also the top of the stud on the arp is different than oem....but on another note the studs both have the same thread... also on the box that was mailed to me (the arp box) on the side if you look closely you can read that it says saturn 1.9L:

but on the shipping label it says nissan 240sx Ka24:

so my question is are they the same ones, or did i get the wrong box somehow? im kinda lost any help would be greatly appriciated

it is all right go ahead and install them all.

you also realize that these are STUDS not bolts.... thats why they are different.. sigh of course they are different you thread the nut to the stud after the head is on

thats wat i was thinking too, and i know this is gonna sound like a dumb question but here it goes, lets say i tighten down the nut to the stud, and if i were ever to blow my headgasket and i go to take off the stud, wont the nut just come out and not the stud??

are you sure that you should be rebuilding the motor?
you put all the studs in the block, then you put the head on, then you put all the stud nuts on.

omg you nailed it when you said dumb question.

of course you would just remove the nut and not the whole stud. though you can do both if you chose too. say loosen the nut enough that you can then just pull the stud out. seriously though you scare me sometimes.

Let me know how these go for you, I'm gonna get some for my STi's block. CP pistons and Tomei rods.

exactly, so lets say for any reason i blow a head gasket, wen i go to remove the nuts, then wen i go to pull the head off will the stud still be in the block while i take off the head, because the nut will just come out or will the stud unscrew with the nut?

the saturn head bolts are the same as the ka studs the reason why there longer is cause you need to fit the washer and nut so there enough of the stud in the nut that it holds make sure you torqe them in the correct order and do 80-100 pounds some people say 70 cause arp suggest that but i have always ran 100 on mine its iron block so it can handle it

also if your using a cometic head gasket that surface is never going to seal needs to be machined

and i also agree with whoever are you building this yourself cause i would highly suggest having someone with more building experience so its done right cause there alot of tricks you dont know

im using a felpro headgasket, but um i wana do this myself, but i welcome help if u wana come through and help me after i get all my parts together ;)
