Purchased from: http://www.ebay.com/
Cost: $59.98 Shipped
Tools Needed: 10mm, 12mm socket and wrench, jack, some gasket sealer wouldn't hurt.
Installation: remove shift knob, remove center console, unbolt 4 bolts (10mm) retaining a metal ring, remove rubber shift boot, remove the 4 visible bolts(12mm) on the shifter plate. jack car up, place jackstand for safety, remove front 2 bolts with 12mm wrench, alittle time consuming. Remove plasticpiece at the end of stock shifter, alittle heat from a heat gun helps alot, then replace that piece with the piece that came on the short shifter the one that comes on it is crap. then put gasket sealer on the aluminum block of the short shifter, mount the shifter in, place all 6 screws(12mm) back in their place and tighten, reinstall rubber shift boot, reinstall retaining ring, bolt down the ring with its 4 bolts(10mm). reinstall center console, put shift knob back on. Go for a drive.
Pros: KNOTCHIE!, PRECISE!, SHORT! shifting. a whole NEW feeling.
Cons: Rattle rumor is true, rattles at higher rpms. the stick that holds the shifter in place inside of the aluminum piece is not the exact size of the hole on the shifter, at higher rpms it will rattle. the rattle seems to be coming from that piece.
Final thought: SWEET UPGRADE, i hate the sloppy stock feel, this is bang for buck, now if you are really whiny about rattles then dont get it, it will rattle, a heavier shift knob could do the trip, but im still going to look forward to anyone who might have made the rattling stop. it doesnt bother me all that much, i will trade the shifting feel for the noise any day.
So far ebay stuff hasn't let me down.
I hope it helps.
