Hey guys still having trouble with this dam s13.. im at a standstill...

Setup: ka24det (stock internals)
370cc injectors, z32 maf, garrett t4 .70 / .68
tuned emance ecu
Aftermarket fpr
walbro fuel pump
93 octane (opened and cleaned tank)

Basically the car starts perfect and drives great except for when i slow down... as soon as i let go of the gas the car shuts off... with a stock ecu its idle goes up n down n shuts down when i let go of the gas. With emance ecu it idles perfect but same gas issue.. from my knowledge it seems like a vacuum leak but the few lines i do have appear fine (removed emissions system) ive been stuck with this any help would be great thanks guys 561-880-1155
 
I know with a Safc you can stop that with the decel air function. Car may be getting too much or too little gas or air?
 
Well if its not recuiculated that can cause a rich condition when u let off throttle causen it to stall out.


Remove bov, block off opening drive n see what happens..

Just one of many solutions..
 
hmmm worth a try, thanks Ill try that asap and let ya know. and recirculated? as in the bov is no good?
 
No the problem is ur bov is venting metered air(air read by ur mafs) n since its not entering the combustion chamber there is an unequal amount of fuel added causeing a rich condition cause ur motor to flood out n die.

Way to solve issue is to recirculaye ur bov(run hose from bov back to piping behind maf)

Or have a tune to compensate for the bov.

Like steef said if ur using an safc theres settings to change decel air to help solve this problem.

But try like i said first to acually see if it is ur problem

how would I know if my bov is stuck open? I did some research and I tried out the single spring mod for the greddy bov... still no luck, when I floor it in neutral the car will hesitate or shut off, if i press it lightly I can rev up high and drive it.... normal driving seems to work.. but you dont drive these things normal.......... I have no 02 sensor hooked up.. I guess my next thing to do is find a good wideband? and safc? im leaning towards the safc decel air thing.. that sounds like it will fix it for sure. I know that my car is confusing itself with the air coming out of the bov causing it to stall...

if this means anything I post pics of it tomorrow but under my turbo I hav a vacumm line running from the turbo to the wastgate.. theres also another nipple without a vacuum line on it open... I feel no pressure on it when I put my finger on it... figure I throw that out there if anything...
 
Try my Ecu and sell me the tuned one..... You know.. to try it.. :bigthumbu

Really I have another Ecu and few things.. where are you located.

my bov is on the throttle side piping, can I still recirculate to after the maf? btw its a non recirculating system now I understand why this shit is happening... I guess the emance tune I have isnt for a no recirculating bov... what are my options? im thinkin either getting a recirculating bov or a safc decel air function? appreciate the help guys im soo f#$king close!


pb&j so blocking the bov it will release pressure at the wastegate? also i work two jobs, monday im gonna block it off and test that thanks for the help

The wastegate funcition doesnt dobwhat a bov does. To much to explain but google that
. your probly correct thatbthe emance tune is causing this. Heard hes kinda of slackn off so might be a crazy turn around time for him to rewrite a new tune..


But all of this discussion will be a waste till u acually do like i said, remove bov n block off the whole. Drive the car n c if the issuse is resolved. Its hard tryn to diagonis a problem thru the web. Its a process of elimantion. There are other things that can cause ur issuse but we need to to do what we suggest to help u.

monday im definitely doing that... I have a feeling when I block it, it will run... what would be my next step? also ive also heard putting my maf on the cold side before the throttle would fix this?
