Bad idling

I really need some help now guys. Cars acting a bit funny.

Every time i apply the brakes to go to a complete stop my idle either shoots up to 2000 rpm or will bog down to 400-500 rpm and jump right back to 900 rpm. Or sometimes after it'll just want to stay at 2000k. So i thought hey let me check my tps and i disconnected and my idle got fixed, back to 700 850 rpm. Well today i changed and adjusted my tps to spec .45 -.55 volts and my idle jumped back to 2000k. but if i adjust the tps to .2-.25 it'll idle fine and dandy. Now for today it ran fine for the rest of the day now its back to the way it was before. jump idling now.

tl;dr: I brake idle rises or drops.. need to solve this.

i have no vac leak..

anyone have ideas?? I'm really stuck in this one.

on your brake booster there is a one way valve. make sure you have it setup the right way. I'm drunk and I forget what its called but if you dont have this check valve on your brake booster and/or its not setup in the correct direction every time you brake and your brake booster is used it will effect your idle. thats where i'd look! drunk tech answers ftw :D

Found out it was a clogged cat. What do?

Kinda of a dumb question but I still have my stock piping. Would a ebay test pipe 3in bolt right in on my stock exhaust?

I would just replace it. I put a high flow cat on my exhaust and never looked back, improved the smell of my car by 1000%
