block ?????s

is it possible to bore a ka24de to a ka26de and would it be safe to boost it would the walls be thick enough i plan on buying a bare block and buildin it but i got a buddy who can bore and hone blocks so i thought i bump up the liters :bigthumbu good idea or should i just stick with 2.4 liters or is this just a sick idea

joe the presdient of spool up racing has a ka24de storked to a 2.6. also has the greddy turbo kit on the motor.

when you bore a block, even .2 litres, doesnt it increase compression ratio? i should think it would. might need thicker head gasket if going boost. just a thought.

it depends on the pistons you install, u can keep the compression the same(or higher or lower) and bore it out.....if u just want more or less compression u dont have to bore it out, just get different pistons

well i had my local junk yard pull me the motor from a 94 vert that had benn rapped in the ass lol but when he got the motor out he realized the milage and suddenly the price tripled from 200 to 600 bonez so i said fuck you and left turns out the odometer read 80xxx so im sad and the search cont.

where u located, my cuz has a motor that im sure he will sell for cheap, its either got a Bent valve or spun a bearing, and if ur rebuilding it, it should be fine

somebody correct me if im wrong
