Boost SR

I've been running my boost at the stock 7lbs out of my SR for a while now and I just purchased my boost controller and gauge. I wanted to know if I could bring it up to 14 without damaging the engine. The engine is stock with the stock SR Turbo, I just have a 3"downpipe and Greddy exhaust. I've heard different things from people I wanted to know what you guys think.

being that you have an S13 Redtop 13 would really be the maxx PSI you could Run... So I read.. They will spike to a higher PSI but will drop to 13 so.. yeah 13 psi maybe adjust/add fuel and you should be ok

If you don't have a FMIC, don't turn it up. If you do, 14psi should be fine (but the max).

you need fuel and fuel mangement and a big turbo. 14lbs on stock turbo will blow the turbo, and more then about 10lbs is maxing out the injectors

No. Stock injectors are fine as is the maf as is 14psi on a t25. I ran 14psi for over 2 years and my car never puffed a bit of burnt oil. I gave my engine regular oil changes, synthetic each time and it had 18k km on it when i got. By the time i was done, I put around another 50-60k miles. If you bought an engine that was old or treated poorly in Japan (or by you), obviously shits not gonna last.

I just picked up the boost controller Friday, I'll be installing it Sunday, and I've decided on 10lbs for now to get a feel for the car. Thanks for the help.

i ran 19-20ish everyday for a while....fmic dp exhaust t25 no management...stock fuel and a walboro

i ran 15 psi on gt2871r.
stock tune
stock fuel
stock...um, yea.

SR's are strong as hell, you will blow 10000 t25's before you hurt the motor IMO.

but @ 14 psi your turbo wont last long, i wouldnt run over 10-12 psi, the extra...10 hp (maybe) isnt worth havng to replace the turbo. and if you dont have FMIC i dont think you will have much efficeincey past that anyhow.

dont mean to thread jack... but what oil should an sr be running fully synthetic? because i had synthetic in it but i change to reg oil... what should i run?

Ok, I'm running the 10psi and am pretty satisfied with the results I'm going to keep it at this for a while until I speak with XAT about the setup and now my new concern is if the turbo won't bust on me at a higher setting. Thanks to John for helping me install the controller.

Dude, that's dangerous. I promise you you were running very lean. Please don't do that anymore!!
