brake question

alright so i just changed out my rear rotors and brake pads this weekend. now when i hit 60 the car starts to vibrate heavily and it only gets harder as i continue to climb, and it feels like its coming from the rear too. could changing them out have thrown off the alignment really bad or did i fuck something up?

Doing brake work will not affect the alignment since you are not really doing anything to the suspension.
But I would really recommend you lift the car back up and check all the bolts you have taken off, you may have left one loose, or you may have put one of the tires on improperly.

You should also have the wheels balanced.

A piece of rust or some debri stuck between rotor and hub or extremly warped rotors. To see if its front or back go to 60 and lightly pull e-brake to confirm its the rear and then go from there. Where they new rotors?

yea they were brand new

i will check the car again today

I was going to say the same thing as BILLFISHER21 - your bolts are probably loose somewhere.

o dam thats probably it, on each of the rear wheels i have one threaded stud so i can only fit 4 lugs on out of the 5.

i doubt that would be it, but check all the bolts, pull the e-brake when you are driving to determine if its the front or rear, and have your wheels balanced for good measure, usually if you have a shake at around 50 mph that is a balance issue

Sometimes you can hear when your lugs are loose at low speeds drive by a wall, and you'll hear the wheel "walking" on the studs, it's scary bad.

^yeah i had to replace my studs the threads were gone and i only drove like 3 miles with the front wheels loose. some times being stoned is a bad thing like when you forget to tightn your wheels LMAO

well pulled off the wheel and re checked everything and it seems to be in working order. i will have the wheels balanced this friday and if the probs persist then ill just replace the studs. hopefully its its one of the above
