Bringing Drifting to Wisconsin.

Hey everyone.

I just thought this was really cool soo here is the story.

I moved here two years ago from a little town in Wisconsin, anyways, my parents always took me to a car show there that was held on the sunday before the 4th of July, when I was a kid I always loved the Honda's and thought that when I grew up I would bring my car there.. Soo I decided to go back this summer and hang out with my old friends and.. enter my 240 in the car show. So I called the lady in charge of the show and told her I was coming up from Florida and whatnot. Anyways, when I told her I had a street car she was like oh what do you do with it. And I was like well I drift. and She was like Oh, well we have a small parking lot that we are doing a burn out contest at, maybe we can set up some cones and you can give a little demo or something...

Anyways, she said to talk to her when I get there. I highly doubt anything will really take place. I just thought that was soo cool. I'll take picts of the car show for you guys though.

I'm going to be gone from June 20 to July 10 so I wont be able to get online. But yeah.

dam thats gonna be cool, you will be showing drift to ppl who may have never seen it before, maybe you'll inspire one of those kids to be drifter one day :bigthumbu

Update on this.

I've been in Wisconsin for... 2 days now.

The scene is definetly not here. I saw some guy with a completely out-done honda, huge wing, crazy paint job, crazy body kit, You all know what I'm talking about. Anyways, he had Bride seats, So I was thinking he must have some work done to the motor, at least a swap. Soo I asked him if he had a swap and he stared at me all puzzled like.. and said "what's a motor swap?" I think my jaw hit the floor.

Anyways, there are no 240's, rx-7's, AE86's. ANYTHING. No one knows what drifting is, I took one of my old friends out for a couple corners and he was like WHat the F are you doing and started screaming.

And I've been told about 30 times that my car is "still running"

This is definetly a different place...

What!

That is freakin insane. No one here even knows about drifting. I can't believe they have events. I am up here until July 8th.

That is a sick track.

I've heard about that track before. It just looks so awesome. I know I'll probably pass out after doing one lap of drifting in the 86 there  :bigthumbu .
