got a little problem. annoying as hell. I keep braking my studs in the rear. Mostly the driver side rear. I havnt drifted dry for bout a week, then last night i felt like hittin a few turns. then what do yuh no. wtf. iv broken at least 4. replacing them i dont have a problem with, i just want to find out the issue. I know drifting puts a lot of stress on them, but this much? and maybe its time i start torqing down my wheels? any imputs good thanks

always tq your wheels.

What kind of lug nuts are you using? do you hand thread them all the way then tighten them or do you just put them on?

I have broken one stud in 9 years????????????

buying the oe replacements from NAPA, autozone. and yes i hand tighten, then tighten with a wrench. any torque specs on tightening them??

ur doing something wrong man, im using oem studs n nuts and have never broken a stud ever nor have i torqued them with a proper torque wrench, i usually use a impact gun, are u tightning them in a star/criss cross pattern?

LMFAO sorry i had to.

And yes Torque them..

lmfaoo pancho omg.... yeah star pattern. anybody have torque specs to putting the stud in the hub and putting the wheel on? but its usually happens on the side of the car where all the weight goes in the drift. i do have a lot of body roll in the rear(blown struts ftl) so a lot more stress is on those 4 studs. anywho, toque specs anyone?

i never in my life had torque the stud to specs, and i have offroad, and beat the heck out of it my jeep, cars and etc.. you might be buying crappy studs.. :p

orrrrrrrr it could be your wheels dont fit perfectly and there is some play that break the studs ...

check your wheels and lug nuts.... if your wheels are angled where the stud go through make sure u r using acorn shapped lug nuts... otherwise the wheels will move a lil when u put torque on them and that may cause them to break

stock s13 se's.

then probably you need to go to nissan and buy factory instead of auto parts.. maybe you just got a bad bunch..

also when you put them on are you tighting in on the barrel all the way ? how are you installing them(the lugs)

my boy hookin me up with 5 lug hubs for the rear so fuck it im goin 5 lug lol. and im pretty shure its the quality of the studs. garbage failzone. and c jackson. WTF is anitsize gonna do?
