whats so great about KA's over SR's besides the SR's rocker arms and the KA dosen't need as much boost to make alot of power ? If you don't mind me asking? I mean I don't mind KAT's at all I would def rock one any day. Just wanna know thats all.. Oh and do the work your self so you can get familiar with the new setup ,, or have someone stand over you and make sure your doing everything correct... all in all save you money...

If you do decide to go the KA route...please consult with 240sicknessx...he might be able to change your mind...and should you still decide to go that route..consult with him on whats in his "KA-T Repair kit"

^ seen the same thing from SR's

Dude, come on. You know I'm messing around first off and secondly KA(T)'s grenade A LOT more than SR's do. Almost every SR failure I've ever seen is from years of abuse which lead to failing piston rings and low compression. Catastrophic SR failures are few and far between in comparison.

Which one gets better gas mileage though?? That will solve this battle right now.

Stock SR's do! I used to get a lil over 375miles /tank with my stock SR when I would commute to work with it (mixed highway and city). That's about 31mpg kids.

Since I have 740cc injectors now things have changed quite a bit though... :ugh:

^^ I agree...

The reason you hear about Ka's popping alot is because A) we live in the states so obviously there are more Ka's.

B) Remember that the "Majority" of the people who get sr's normally have it professionally installed. While "Most" of the guys who do Ka-t's usually do it themselves. Keep in mind your not buying a turbo motor. you are making it turbo. Its very easy for someone who doesnt know what there doing to blow it.

I know a kid who put together a Ka-t and was running around at 15 psi with a stock pump and stock ka 270cc injectors....Time Bomb.... :ugh:

Having worked on KAs for years and now having a SR so far I can tell you it runs a lot smoother, is a lot quieter even with NO exhaust, and seems to be very fun/peppy to drive. IMO KA-Ts should not be an option unless you're REALLY, REALLY good at troubleshooting/fixing stuff... I could have gone KA-T but I felt the SR would be less of a headake, and so far I'm right.

I dont get whats so hard about Ka's? does anyone here have any mechanical experience? no offense to anyone but i always hear ka = headache? My Ka doesnt give me a Headache. and no one else in team under control has ka problems.

ive been working on Ka's forever. its so easy... i just dont see the hard part about working on a Ka unless your a lazy person who gets shyt done at shops and doesnt work on your own car?

bottom line...ka is faster.....sr...more reliable....imho

till there both built then, depends on the tuner
