so heres the problem:

I have to write a 2-3 page typed double-spaced essay on the following topic for my honors program application to be considered for acceptance in the program.

here is the topic:

describe how your education will make the world a better
and/or more interesting place to live in.

so far i have that my education would produce a chain reaction. lets run on this for a while.

any other ideas are much appreciated.

I normally can do it on my own but this topic has given me writers block. so please offer some intellectual thought.

our target audience is the honors board who reviews these applications.

i'd like to do this essay as soon as possible.

thanks in advanced! <3

p.s.
no need to write me an essay just give me some ideas. thank you!

I am at work right now so I am in a hurry, You may want to look into the Renaissance, that was a time of great advancement due to education, prior to that it was the dark ages and no one went against religion and there was no questions being answered or answers being questioned. Intellectuals flourished in that time and there where innovations made then that are still used today in architecture, science, etc.

I wish I could have worded this better but hey, you got to right the paper, I am just steering you in a direction.

Shitty question.

Get retarded philosophical and they'll buy into that crap.

Like how you believe the future is built with one thought at one time. Knowledge paves the road to freethought. Freethought is a choice. Choosing is a responsibility. Ever upward to honor. You know...

Wait this is assuming your audience is a round table of PHD holding educators. Might want to say who you're writing to, what college, what your major of study will be...

I think your answer applies to those people though Tony, the thesis of this paper is very open to opinion, you can go anywhere with it, Tony is right, you can pretty much talk it up.

Haha i missed that, durrr. Even so, some schools do some goofy stuff these days in the name of "cognitive learning" and other new age educational ideals. The board could consist of highly trained chimpanzees or something. Never know.

yeah they are definitely all about environment. i got to FGCU which is the only environmentally friendly (literally) campus in florida. I figured they want to hear about community service and how my education can improve those around me.

thanks for all the imput!

Agreed with both...

You can get philosophical or use facts of how other genius's of the past have already contributed to how life is today.

Then put "I iz Smarterer than them peoples, and am H3LPING the world!"

On the real...
This essay is left entirely up to you, and based purely on your opinion. No matter which way you go, if it is describing how times like The Renaissance helped advance the world, noting the contributions of the world's previous most intellectual minds, or just describing how you can help by strictly writing about how your major can aid the future world. You must back up what ever you say with details that will make it seem true.
