In the 2010 Tsukuba Time Attack
the Revolution Hankook sponsored FD RX-7 lapped a new reord of 53.6 seconds.
Pretty close to the HKS EVO 0'53"589...and considering the car is RWD, the lap time is astonishing...
The shit that some poeple are arguing is how much the FD retains its roots to a street car, or actually DOESNT.
Its pretty sick, the shock towers remain, but the floor pan and front and rear are all tube chassis and a shit load of carbon.
As a matter of fact its beyond GT300 Super GT regulations...almost @ GT500 level...
Point is, its fucking sick....

I saw it on Speedhunters the fastest Time Attack car in Japan I think. Props the driver also.
