k so i have a basic pioneer head unit and speakers all around.
last 2 nights ago the left side speakers didnt work then they came back to life then later on i hear SUPER LOUD static coming out of all 4 speakers mostly from the left. i turn down all the volume and the static is still very loud. i took the head unit out to see if the harness was touching something or w.e but everything seems fine.
also i hear variations of static as i play with lights, like if i turn the signals on i hear that on the static, so im guessing something is touching something?

can anyone help b4 i ripp all my stereo harness out and redo it. or is the the head unit????

please help driving in silence is killing me!~

i got an amp for my subs.

im taking my car to autozone tomorrow to check alt, and batt for loads.

ground would make the stereo shut off not create static.

ive read it could be a bad head unit but is like brand new.
or that it could be a power grounding out....

im checking for loads tomorrow and if they are good, im going to try and return the the head unit since the warranty still good.

no sir. i have done a good share of audio installs. i know my stuff lol.

they are right .....the amp can "amplify" the static too...... if you have shit connections you will hear that shit nice and crispy lmao

ok, the amp is conected to the sub ONLY TO THE SUB. so it would amplify the noice yes, affect it no.

with my head unit having the ground loose or disconected would shut off the unit. im not arguing im just saying.

ill trouble shoot the shit out of it tomorrow.
ill update tomorrow.

Check your grounds bro...That sounds like classic ground wire problem...Find a better spot and make sure its bare metal your grounding to.

its not that your ground wire is loose or disconnected its grounded in the wrong place. you need to ground it too the chassis.

i ground to the dash bar, just get some sandpaper and clean it good, my radio works perfect, kinda, lol faceplate takes a shit lol

ok i tried the ground and nothing. my friend at work looked at it and he sayis the radio is blown cause the sound is coming only through one speaker... and cause my radio is SHIT, so now i gotta buy one, YAY:D:mad:

sergio have u rewired the cars factory amp..u have an s13 hatch rite?well it has two amps in the front doors..and one for the rear speakers...if it hasnt been rewired then most definately its the factory amp thats deteriorated and its causing static...if it has been rewired then it would b 1 speaker messin it p for the rest ..not neccessarily grounded out cause then the speakers wouldnt play if one speaker was touching ground...any more questions then pm me
