Car Wont Start!!!!

ok finally got the car running just right the other day....went to start up my car after work yesterday and it just eeps cranking....i checked all the fuses, have spark to all 4 plugs, and checked to see if fuel pump is workin....everything looks fine. so we decided to try and trouble shoot. took off the fuel hose to the fuel rail from the filter and plugged it with a screwdriver and went to crank the car. starts up but of course since lack of fuel it dies in a minute or so. we connect the hose back to the fuel rail and it doesnt start. but everytime we take it off and plug it again it starts up!

so to my understanding the engine seems to be gettin flooded! could my fuel pump be on the fritz and dumping fuel like crazy or what? is there something were missing here ?
could it need to be leaned out somehow and a fuel pressure regultar need to be involved?

guys im at a lose here and getting frustreated haha ! please help me out !!

thx

Dude the same thing happened to me five months back. After trying couple of time the car smell like fuel in side the car by the engine compartment. I replace the fuel filter, air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, spark plugs, cap and rotor, tried a different ECU, and check the fuel pump. After I did all that the car kept doing the same thing but I would leave it alone for couple of minutes and start right back. I knew when the car was going to do that because the idle start getting very low.

I’m telling you all this is because I did all that crap and it kept doing the same for about a month or two, but the strange part is that I haven’t have that issue for about 3 months.

I think the worst thing you can do is change all the things you MAY think are wrong with the car, all at once. If you still happen to have the same problem, even after replacing possible damaged parts, you are stuck with not knowing where to go next. Do one thing at a time. A compression test should be first. If that's good, go from there. Switch out the ECU. If that doesn't help, revert back to the original ECU, and try something else, like injectors.

Changing out too much shit will confuse you even more if the problem hasn't been fixed, especially if there is possibility that the new part you used to replace the old is fucked up too.

That Happened To My Like 2 Days Ago. I Posted A Thread About It. Injector 3 Was Stuck Open So When I Would Wake Up In The Morning Or After The Car Sat For A While It Would Take For Ever For The Car To Start Because The Fuel Lines Had No Pressure Since That Injector Was Stuck Open. Piston Three Was Flooded With Gas And Piston Four Didn't Get Enough Because Injector 3 Would Hog It All. It Took Me A While Of Trying To Start The Engine Until It Would Acyually Start Because I Had To Wait Untill The Lines Built Up Pressure And Piston 3 Release All The Gas Through The Exhaust. I Just Replaced The Complete Fuel Rail With Injectors And The Car Started Up Fine.
