Car wont start!!!

ok the day i ripped the carpet outa my coupe i found out the car wouldnt start.

the radio and a/c turn on when i turn the key!

but the engine wont crank, talked to a few of you through pm and in person and i tried jumpin the battery and that didnt work. tried knockin the starter...didnt work. check the fuses...look ok im stumped! where slick rick when you need him?

did n't mess with any grounds did you. does the starter whirr at all. could be that.

Check the ignition fuse(Color green) in the engine fuse box

if starter doesnt do anything check park/nutral switch and wires on/around clutch pedal, pulled wire out of ecu maybe.?

possible when i pulled the carpet out..might have caught something from under the dash! soon as the car is finished being painted this saturday imma check everything out more!

its nick with the red bull can, on the clutch pedal is a plastic button, that in turn pushes another button to start the car, when you ripped your carpet out you may have torn off the plastic button, if so the engager goes straight through the top of the clutch pedal, so in turn no start for you........... check it out yo and let me know.

^r u talking about the plastic clp tha goes on the clutch pedal and usually ends up falling off after a while? i never understood y nissan designed it that way the could have just made the whole thing metal but noooo they drill a hole in the middle and insert the pos plastic clip witch falls off and the hole lets the clutch safty swith tip go through and makes the car think the clutch is still engaged when its not.well check that if nothing lmk and ill make a trip to check it out for ya if you want for free as long as your not in like wpb or something lol :bigthumbu

^^^I was gonna say that too. It happened to me once and I went as far as buying a brand new starter just to later find out the it was the stupid tab. Lol.
