changing suspension

i have a s14 that i bought like a week ago. its like 112,xxx miles and the suspension rides like if it has hydrolics. lol what would be the best not too expensive suspension to put on? And also my boy has a totaled 300zx turbo, and i wanted to knw what are all the mechhanical parts that can go on my car with out too much fabrication. Like i want his rotors and brake calipers, stuff like that..... anything helps thanks
