about 4 months ago I got the idea from CLUB4ag and 320'd the entire body on my GT-S.
Took about 2 months but I did it extremely well (BY HAND!!!) and im not the type to
rush shit.
The point is, after I wet-sanded it with 320grit sandpaper and then
primerd it black, the 320 allowed the primer to "bite" down on the original paint so fucking hard that when i got a small chip in the front left fender and rear trunk...u can see the shell's bare metal.
OFC if that happens, sand it well, fill it, and primer it to avoid oxidation AKA Brown shit.
So my advice since ur painting over the old paint original or not, 320 as well as u can since thats what will allow the new coats to "stick" on better.
If u rush the 320-grit sanding (I did it w/water) and do some lame-ass job, the new paint will eventually peal off, crack or just plain look like dookie.
So 320 the fuck out of ur whip 1st most importantly, anywhere u want the paint to REALLY bite, that includes door jambs, around the windows, etc, bc shitty paint jobs start peeling around those hard tro reach and often ignored areas.
Try tro get an Electric hand sander, my old man told me he had one AFTER i was done with the GT-S lol
Goodluck those of u that decided on trying this method.
