Just got back to my place. The event was awesome, St. Louis was by far the best NOPI weekend so far.
Having a bunch of the guys who tried to qualify on Friday volunteer to be our pit-crew was rad. Hookers running down street at 3am looking like they were trying to jump on the trailer was hilarious
Bill's run against Blake was intense, but it was actually Damien Bagley vs Jason Jiovanni which was the best tandem in NOPI history. Every driver in the staging area was going nuts. Really clean drifting, super tight on each other and even on the clips too. On the second clipping point if Damien left some paint on the cone, Jason's bumper wiped it off. It was unbelievable.
With regard to the winner, personally thought Bill beat Kenji, but I wasn't watching from the judges stand so it's hard to say.
As for me, well I broke the front differential mount in the last practice before qualifying, drove on the trailer, pit crew came up with a few ideas and we rigged it up super-fabulous.
Drivers meeting; judges say they don't like the big feint entry I am doing and I should feint less or use e-brake entry. The only way I could feint less is if I clutch kick, and I knew it was going to break my composite organic (2x4 wood) diff brace...... so in qualifying I went for a long ebrake entry and I blew it...... simple as that. I don't think the KA explosion helped, but they cleaned it up good and I still think it was driver error.
So basically Jason had a 6 man crew for sunday; worked out well.
Looking forward to bigger and better things in Denver. I can definitely make top16. Hope XAT puts another KA together for Rob, or just steals Mikespeeds V8..

My car is getting it's first alignment this week, upgraded radiator, plus a differential brace and new diff ratio, 3.73 got dat woo-WOO!!
