i just replaced my throwout bearing and upon driving the car home i noticed the clutch pedal is getting progressivly lower. today i got in and i can only push it a bout an inch. help

could be the slave cylinder. had this happen to me 2 times already

yes i removed the slave from the tranny would that matter

No thats fine.

Just check your master cylinder then. It would be one thing that makes the pedal too soft or pedal drop. besides that check your slave first, make sure it's not leaking. Also check when you press on the clutch pedal, see if the slave moves the fork.

it doesnt.. just adjust the pedal inside ur car . same happened to me

Shut up!!! Now sell me your wheels lol

I'm having the same problem... replaced the master twice already and the slave once... still not working...

Check the clucth hydruaulic system, bleed/flush the system and check for leaks.
Leaks can be found on the lines, where the lines connect, on the firewall where the M. cylinder meets the firewall, and sometimes behind the pedal, under the dashboard in the passenger compartment. If all the compnents on the hydraulics seem fine, you can suspect that it is a weakend pressure plate. Or sometimes, the return spring on the pedal can weaken and not return the clutch pedal all the way back to it's home position, this is happening to my friends s14 and the pedal does not return to it's home position but all the hydraulics are fine with a good clutch/PP. The pedal will only travel as far as the hydraulic system will push it back.

Just like everybody said, check for leaks and make sure your slave is good. But one important thing remove the rubber boot in your tranny and make sure your fork is in good place. that happens to me. I had to drop my tranny twice.
