I have an s13,
it drives fine untill the clutch gets hot
then it slips ...
in the rain or morning the car drives prefect
do i need a new clucth or possible leak
help plz ...
the car does not seem to be loosing oil
in the rain it will eventually start to slip but much later than when its not raining.
it does engage at later rpms the longer i drive it.
hmmm.. check ur clutch fluid... if its thick and black like mine id say change it and ur slave cylinder.. is it a stock clutch? how many miles? beaten on it lately? could just be time for a nice 6puck...
My clutch engauged higher after I have been driving the car hard because of the downpipe making the slave clutch hardline hot and expanding the hydrolic fluid which allows the slave cylinder to slightly engauge. This slight engaugement is like me leaving my foot on the clutch pedal. Not full clamping force is being exerted on the disc. I fixed that issue though.
It is known if you get a clutch hot it will not want to have as much grip.
Take it to a mechanic and ask them for a dianosis. See if they will charge you for a quote, in the process you will find out what is going wrong.
something like dat happend to me once have u tryed pumping the clutch cuz it might not have fluid wat would happend to me is that all the gear would go out and it would grind if i tryed to put it in wat ever gear so try pumping the clutch that my help until u replace the cluth
i had the same problem in a couple of my 240's i found the best solution is to eliminate the stupide Block with the bog hose on it thats conected to the line i found that eliminating this kept the clutch pedal at the same height all the time intead of gettin higher or lower i did it to 4 of my cars and a couple of customers everyone happey problem was solved
ok josh, ill adjust your clutch pedal, i think its that, since we fucked with it last time, if not that.......and you stop peeing yourself, buy a clutch......a good one, and let me know when u wanna pop it in
