Whats the stock bore on a 97 Ka24de, is it 89 or 90mm??

Im going .20 over with pistons, what size cometic hg should i use?

I heard someone say you should have 1mm bigger, and some people say it should be the same size???

well my choices are....cometic, felpro, o ring on paper gasket.

according to ka-t org cometic has been the most used one

felpro, i was just on ka-t.org and everyone recommends fel-pro over cometic... theres actually a thread about it on ka-t.org under basic

I like my cometic, I haven't had any issues at all with it, but ive heard more bad stories involving cometic than good... I've never heard anything bad about felpro, but then again it's not metal, never gonna be as strong theoretically

well i went on ka-t.org and looked at the rides section and most of them are using cometic hg and they are 350whp+

unless machining is done then a cometic is absolutely pointless. facbric will contour, metal will not. common sense people

Obviously. Even with machining I've heard cometic doesn't hold compression in some cases. But that's what I "heard", like I said le I've never had problems personally, what about the apexi hg?

i had one, it worked perfect. obviously you cant put a mls headgasket on scratched up or warped surfaces. but of course who wants to build a motor the right way? mls > crap ass graphite.

i have built 6 ka-t, all of them i did cometic, never had a problem , all the motors went to the same machine shop and both block with the front cover installed and the head also with the front cover installed where machined , i also always use ARP hardware, use cometic for mor than 400 hp power goals and felpro if your gonna keep it below 350 hp
