I love how I'm getting attacked by women media lol. I already had a long text session with Nancy over this lol. I think she gets what I was trying to say in my post now (I hope)
let me make a few statements:
-I'm not upset by this, I just said it was a downside and it can be about anything. I use, for example, the Macro contest on JDMS. There were pictures that weren't even CLOSE to being considered macro but they got votes and there was ONLY ONE that was actually a REAL macro shot and I think it got like 3rd.
-Equipment....everyone please stop complaining about equipment. Zach can get his hands on my same camera (D300), "better" lenses than mine, and he has lighting equipment.....do you see me saying anything about how I have to compete with someone with better equipment than mine? The equipment doesn't take the picture, the photographer does.
-I didn't say "Nancy's picture is shit, but its gonna get votes because she's a girl" IMO I think it is a nice picture.
-I never said separate the contest between men and women, I honestly don't care. Like you said I did this for fun, I'm not gonna go bonkers cuz I lost. I'll congratulate you and that's it. I just wish the playing field would be even, but there are too many people that will vote what's in the picture than on the picture itself (composition, lighting, style, etc.) and, again, here's the proof to back what I'm saying is true.
now that that is done with. I took my shot today Just camera, some shots use the flash (Haven't decided which picture to use), and some ingenuity. I really like the idea, I might redo it one day to get the perfect shot. Can't wait for this contest to be over to take the next pics lol

We shouldn't repeat contests. I need to get the link from my friend but if you ever get stuck on ideas there is a huge gallery listing of the contests this board has done. If we ran off of just that we'd never run out of ideas.
Just have everyone pm you their links and name the title what contest it is. That'll keep everything nice and organized. If you don't have enough room then have them email the link to their picture.
