Rules
1. 1 entry per contestant.
2. If entered can't vote for your own picture.
3. Can only enter your own work.
4. Pictures must be taken after the time of this post.
5. Pictures must be sent to me and not posted here.
6. Voting will start right after entry due date.
7. Send me the pictures as soon as you take them, so there is no crying when you turn it in after the due date. I will not post them until voting starts
8. No watermarks

yo and add this *no editing* take and send as is no editing......you want to add a border ok* no watermarks* and keep it so no one knows who sent what.....lets make this interesting....

I'm going to shoot something tonight. Hopefully, might take me a bit to edit.

I actually took my picture last night. Going to sit on it for a bit and see if I like it over the weekend.

That wouldn't work out for everyone's picture. When you see mine you'll understand why no editing can't be used.

Also I see no reason why we can't use other tools to enhance our picture to the way we see it in our head. If that's the case then we would have to say people can't use external lighting or filters. Photoshop, lightroom (or whatever) is just another tool for achieving how you want your picture to look.

some people take a picture in color and think it would be good in black and white, maybe you want to crop it, make it a little bit darker a little bit lighter.

I understand not going overboard with editing, but you need to do it in most cases.
 
I'm not sure if your agreeing or disagreeing. I'm not trying to down anyone on this subject but it always comes up on during photography contests. Photoshop is going to save a bad picture. If its out of focus you can try usm all you want by its still gonna be out of focus. When I shoot my pictures I always shoot -1 on my exposure. I bring the exposure back up later in pshop.

Maybe going overboard is what you had envisioned but are able to capture it shooting. Being able to bring out the darks in certain areas but not in others. Film photographers would spend hours in the dark room getting their pictures the way they wanted it. Whats so different about photoshop.

I'm not trying to put anyone down but if you are trying to say not to use photoshop because you don't know how that's crap. If you want, download cs4 from adobe's website. Hit me up on aim and I can help you out. I'm not the greatest at photoshop but I'm willing to help others learn it. If you have iTunes get the podcast called photoshop user tv. Its nothing spectacular but their little tricks can be used on other things than what they are showing you.

Sorry about the rant it just gets to me when people wanna start crying about other people editing pictures.
