i need help if anyone knows please. i drove my car the other night cooling guage is reading fine but my coolant resevore is bubbuling i dont know what to do !

The last time that happent to me it meant that my head gasket was blown basicaly you overheat and air backs up throught the cooling system (thus bubbles). it might not be the same case with you but it might be something to check out

same thing happend to me a while back then the engine blew i was low in coolant and the gauge wasnt reading right could be hapenin to u to make sure you have enough coolant and the gauge is reading properly

HALP,

I am having the same problems mentioned above by the topic starter, but I don't believe that these old posts have answered my question. :(

Yea, take your thermostat out if its not out already. My car had some heating problems in the past. Put in a s14 rad and took out the thermo, sooo much better.

^ what he said n try bleeding the coolant from the little bolt on the manifold I took out the thermo n bled it to get air out maybe that's ur problem u got some air in there n its heating up but if anything before u take anything out run the car for a few mins then check the bottom hose n the top if the bottom is cold or not hot its ur thermo

cheap tests for your problem... 1 Bad thermo: take out thermostat see if problem still occurs 2 Blown head gasket or warped Head: find a shop or maybe you have a friend thats a mechanic ask for a Hydro carbon tester or Combustion leak detector (just cuz you changed a head gasket dose not mean you have a good seal) 3 Inspect radiator: As stupid as it may sound but check it out most of the time its an easy fix thats giving you problems. Like my engine repair teacher always said use the K.I.S.S method Keep It Simple Stupid!

I DID hear bubbling noses in the car, while we opened the rad cap, and whooooosh, hot coolant spurted out :/

could be sucking air through the radiator leak valve on bottom. tighten. i had bubbles also. i put a nismo thermostat. and i think these guys are right, the headgasket could be a problem. i got my head shaved and put a new gasket, thermo, and no more bubbles.

its steaming hot bubbles right? if so, perform the operation.

do wut i did, get a nismo cap, niosmo low temp thermo, and level the head with new gasket. and since u went that far, get some arp studs!!

try what is easy first it could just be a bad red cap or thermostat look at the cap and see if the ruber seals are hard or cracked they should be soft and flexable

Wow thanks for the advice guys

New problem.

So i drove it today to drop my sister off to middle school orientation, and now it wont pick up speed. When i floor it, i hear the engine giving all its got, but im not really moving anywhere. sometimes im at 6000 rpm going only 25mph. . .

And it idles like crap. When im under a light, the rpms go up, and down, like its fighting to say on. And when the light turns green it wont go. So I would have to cut the engine off then start it back up just to get it running again. . .

Also i Parked it into a empty parking lot and in the overflow tank. the water and coolant were bubbling.
