D1GP coming to Florida?

Well, it seems like theres a chance of it coming in April. D1GP is coming out with a USA series. You can read more in the link below. I wonder if some of the pro drivers from Japan will be there? I'm curious if at the end of year in 2007 they will have a major event for all the D1 series drivers. It'll be an interesting year with like 3 big drifting series in the USA.

We need a MSC type event down here. WTF is with all this professional bullshit popping up everywhere. No room for amatures or room to grow INTO professional drifting.

NOPI has announced a ProAm series to allow amateurs to earn their professional licences. This series will be focused on the east coast only, and I believe Miami is one of the cities chosen for an event.

thats tight work...miami is teh happenin spot

Ok, from what I am seeing, D1 is going to run the events with the NHRA Sport Compact series. If it does happen here in FL, it will be at Moroso on April 1st. I was planning to go to this event in the first place, but if D1 is going to be there, it's not a plan for me anymore, I am deffinately there.

If D1 comes to Florida that will open the eyes of many spectators and others who do not participate in any motorsports to actually build more tracks

this is crazy man i know alot of u guys who been doin this 4 a while dont agree with this mass media attention on drifting but its such a huge benefit for us young kids tryin to get in on it i mean in the end dont we all do it for da feling:behind da wheel seat time i mean how underground can u get in south florida lol touges? i see it like this if theres more driftin in da media it will lead to alot more oppurtunities like more seat time not havin to worry bout how i have 4 unpaid tickets or how my tags are expired lol just my opinion
