Desoto Drift 10/4/09 Sticky Pod Footage

i guess if you have right tire setup and some supsension work then. of course i never had a dohc when i was na/ka hahah so my single cam /open diff never would have done shit.

Haha guess my KA was just too tired to be up to that task. I had some pretty extreme alignment settings to make 100 hp slippery (rear - 3.5 neg camber, .5 toe out), doesn't matter now though. My poor little KA couldn't take anymore abuse, so it's sitting until I do the swap.

get 4.36 gears for the mean time, my compression was ranging 102psi to 122 psi across all four, the last time i was at Desoto(and not much better any time before) with the white car, worked well enough.

Thanks for the compliments. Gotta love the $30 grant steering wheel. Flatline, I'm pretty sure its physically impossible to drift Desoto's entire bank with a 100 hp, even on delaminated tires. The infield is totally awesome for underpowered cars, but the banks need at least 250 hp and full commitment. I'll be hitting those banks hard when my LS1 is in.

i hated that steering wheel i had it on my other s13 and it sucked balls and wen i tried to take it off it like got stuck and wouldnt come out.

I dont think its possibly to really slide the whole bank in third with any n/a ka i go in at 70-80 and throw it and clutch kick like five time through out the bank alone and manji the straight. My sr hates life the whole time with 250 whp. Havent been anywhere with the retune yet so wel see.

well it worked for me.. i just clutch kicked, then floored it the whole way around. i probly entered around 60-70. and im running 15s, and i never run anything bigger than 195/65 with 40psi.

Yeah that's pretty much what you have to do. It's kinda not really drifting though unless you're running like really crappy 195s on the front too. Otherwise it's like sliding on McDonald's trays with FWD.

But... for the rest of the world with a little bit of power you have to set your car up correctly, and run the right tire sizes. I'm usually floored and sometimes clutch kicking my car around the bank, and it makes decent power.
