Hello SFL,

I am forced to take speech in college. I have to present a speech on April 6 and I chose to talk about drifting in America because I'm a fanboi like that lol. The speech must consist of a basic 5 part analysis i.e: intro, body with 3 sub-topics, and a conclusion. I'm open to any suggestions as to what I should include in this speech about drifting in america. It's more of an informative speech so anything along the lines of a how to is good.

conclusion: Get raped in the ass by the Forum resident homo, Abe.

intro - florida drifting is all about posing (your theme for the essay)
body -
a - how to be a fanboy. (which u obviously know how- jk)
b - how to complain about not having enough money for it.
c - how to talk shit about people who actually get out and do it.
conclusion - florida fail

Ha ha! I actually did this my freshman year. I went out in town one night and made a drifting video, got caught by cops, cops were actually people I drifted with back in the day, got let go by the cops...

used the video in the background of my speech..

A+ for me!!

I did something like this:

Intro: vid of drifting
A: basics of drifting ( oversteer, understeer, e-brake, clutch kick, etc)
B: what I did in drifting
C: How drifting affected my liffe
Conclusion: More drifting video.

I wrote an essay sophomore year, and I just talked about drifting and i just talked about oversteer (how you cause it and how to control it). Show some video so people get a good idea of it, and then explain whats going on in the video, talk about entry speeds and how they affect line and angle, and talk about how the various drifting techniques should be used on a track setting (clutch kicks on certain entrys and ebrakes on smaller corners) and I got 100% plus 10 pts extra credit because the teacher thought drifting was the shit lol

LOL sweet i'll keep all of this in mind while creating my outline. I have to give a 3-5 minute speech! Drifting cannot be summed up in 3 to 5 min! I can talk about drifting for hours and days!! Because i'm a fanboi and that's what fanboi's do ;)
 
You should be able to inform anyone for 5-10 minutes on drifting without help. Sport originated on the street in japan, gained popularity, became sanctioned, ventured around the world, street drifting in other countries leads to more sanctioned events (large scale and local), blah blah. Car setup similar to road racing, basic principles apply, sticky/big tire = faster, more extreme drifts, power too, yadda yadda. Easy shit.
 
STAY ON TOPIC!!! If you choose drifting, I wouldnt go too much into how to's or what not. The history and it's popularity should be enough. ie, intro. history in japan. history in us. competition history? conclusion. Just some ideas, but the main point is stay on topic. If not points will be deducted.

heres what I got so far.

Intro:

History : originated in japan bla bla

body:

I. Driver "skills needed"

II. Suspension (coils, make it stiff etc etc.)

III. Power (engine mods n crap)

conclusion:

How it impacts my life etc etc (i'm a fanboi)
