does anyone here know how or know someone who does??

There is a little channel where is the tranny is at.. cut right next to there then tac it after the firewall is in place do a nice bead all around..
 
^thanks for that info im gonna look for it tommarrow how did you get the seam filler off and were did u buy more of the seem filler???

yep and make sure that its that nasty sticky black shit too.. haha and also (im sure you know) paint all the welds too!

cool :bigthumbu yeah ima paint the welds and th whole engine bay when im done, does anyone know what kind of welder will work for this just in case i try to do it all myself????i have a Stick welder but im not sure if its good for this??? plus im badass with the stik welder but only with steel im guessing a mig or tig welder i just dont know witch one to get?
 
^ok cool so i could use the stick welder, perfect i just might do this myself i just need to buy tha spot weld bit i saw on Horsepower t.v the outher day, i,ve been practicing with the welder when i was bored at work and i can lay a pretty good beed, only concern is should i just weld back the spot welds or should i just lay a consistent beeds even were there was only spot welds i think it be better for stiffness.

How did you guys cut the firewall out? what did you use a cutting wheel, plasma cutter of the torch??? or did it just come out afer you drill out all the spot welds???? i might have to post a write up about this for people like myself LOL, Thanks for the info
 
when ur welding it, do oposite corners first, sort of like tightening the wheels or torquing a head. This helps to keep everything straight. It will come out cleaner like that. Once u have a couple tacks in the corners do some on the top and bottom and sides. Lastly do the beads.

O yeah get a wire brush or something to clean of some of the paint, the welds will come out easier, and dont leave it bare too long cause of rust. good luck.
