Door Wont Open

s13 base model, manual door locks / windows

So the driver side door on my s13 doesnt wanna open, ive tried playing with the lock from inside and outside and nothing, ive tried everything and wont open.

Has this happened to anyone ? what can i do to get it open !?
 
it wont unlock or handle doesn work?

inside the door there are arms that move the latch from the handle. you have to get the door panel off. from the inside youll have to take off the "handle" . There is one obvious screw in it and the you rotate it to get the other side out. then in the plastic window sill part there is a tab with a screw under it, take that out. the rest of the door panel is clips, you have to pop it off, once you pry off a corner just work your way around. then its off. inside youll see the arms and crap and prolly broke a plastic retainer.

I used to have a broken drivers handle that i would get in from the passenger side, then getting out id have to keep a screw driver (door panel stayed off) and i would manually reach inside, and hook the latch and rotate it to open the door. hahaha, my old daily SUCKED before i got rid of it.
 
yea have to take off door panel and do it, my friend backed into my friends s13 door litterally tapped it and it didnt open
 
The door wont unlock, and i cant take the panel off, because there are screws between the door and dash. Door wont open at all!!!, i can take the top clips off of the panel and it gives me some space to work but not much, i tried pulling all the arms back and forth and nothing, i think im going to have to sacrafice a door panel.
 
haha man. My passenger door got stuck closed on my very first 240. It sucked so bad. Everyone had to dukes of hazzard into my car. hahaha.

yup this was me lol. The arm that the handle moves getting disconnected from the actual latch. Sucked ass getting in and out

luckily, the dumbass who hit me knew someone who owned a body shop, and some little mexican dude was able to fix it with a flat head without opening the door or taking the panel off. Not sure how he did it, he knew his way around the inside of the door but its possible

if you are going to have to sacrifice your door panel and you have roll up windows, i have a spare for you for the free

You could also take your passenger panel off to see where exactly the arms are and what needs to be pushed/pulled in what direction, and it should be the same but mirrored on the drivers side

Pop off the cover for the handle on the inside of the door. From there I should be able to see the pushrod that pulls the door latch and it should be pretty obvious from there unless it came off/broke further in but u will have to take a look in there. I have the auto doors im assuming the manual ones r the same just without the buttons. Good luck man shit if anything try to jimmy it open
 
thanks for all the help guys, hopefully this weekend i can try and get it open, thank god its not my daily.

and sketchy if its a blue interior one ill take it !
