Even if you don't think you will get a license or qualify for tandem....PLEASE COME STILL. The entire practice portion of the event until 3pm (20-30 runs) is single runs. We try to have a little bit for everyone.

This event will go one rain or shine. This event will be a NOPI Drift licensing event. All drivers are however welcome and the event will cater to both beginner and advanced driversPractice will be from 8:30am - 3pm. Qualifying begins at 3pm. Qualifyig will be run in the same manner as practice so this is plenty of seat time for everyone even if you don't expect to qualify for the competition. Tentatively, If during qualifying you receive a score of 12 points or above, you will have earned a NOPI Drift license (We reserve the right to change the point break at which a NOPI license will be given. This is decided on a per event basis). We will have a top 8 tandem competition for the money after that. You car must pass the Drift Fury tandem tech requirements in order to compete for the money. If you make top 8 and your car does not qualify to tandem, we will take the next driver in qualifying points whose car passes our tandem tech requirements.

New Rule Book for all types of events, click here before the event http://www.driftfury.com/rules.pdf

non-tandem tech is a little more simple:
# Battery Tie Down (battery box as in tandem rules if it has been relocated)
# Helmet (currently SFI approved as stated in tandem rules)
# Seat Belts (bolted and functional)
# Nothing lose in the interior or engine (no exceptions)
# Windows must roll down
# NO LEAKS on the car ANYWHERE!
# Must have all wheel studs and lug nuts

We will rotate up to 6 groups of 10 drivers throughout the event. Each driver will complete 5 laps per session. Be sure to bring plenty of tires, water, food, etc...

*No ride alongs unless you are Drift Fury staff or a registered driver.

Erick Mahle is going to piss off a lot of people. :D

It's not nice to call people out like that :)

We handle it when people get out of control with spinning out and hitting cones. Spinning out isn't as big of a deal as plowing every cone on the track cuz you spun out once and tried again in the same run and spun out again and then spun out 2 more times in 1 run.....thus taking out all of the cones that have to be picked up :) If you have a spinning out issue it's best to get off the track after you do so.

fantastic, as far as i know i think travis and harri are the only ones with roll cages in their cars.

What if i duct tape a black peice of pvc pipe down the a pillar and across the b pillar to simulate a cage and tech closes their eyes as I roll bye for tandem?

is there any chance that the event will be canceled if there are not enough drivers?

they allow no cage tandems at this venue... but in order to qualify and drive at the next event... u need a cage

shit they allow quadrandems

Quadtandems FTW!!! I vote Erik banned if there's no license. Hahahaha Bladder, you're gonna be there camera in hand correct? And this time you're going to take great pics?

Oh and Zoli has a cage too. The Drift Star Syndicate S14
