Drift technique @ hialeah's big turn.

OK so how did everyone enter hialeah's big turn? How did you initiate and what did you do to keep the drift going? I figure we could learn from each others driving styles so post yalls up!

Ok 1st time I attempted... I clutch kicked but I was going in at aroun 40-45mph, and I ended up going threw the infield <hard> 2nd attempt I clutch kicked but came in at around 50-55mph and took a really clean line staying as far as possible from the wall and with little angle as possible {more of a fast drift}, somehow I was able to do that 2-3 times and no more, every other attempt was WAY to sloopy, all because I was trying to get more angle.

Here's a video of my 2nd run at the oval.

I came in 2nd gear and Clutched kicked the begining and gased it the rest of the way. Low Angle and the 3.36 gear aloowed my 2nd gear to be long enough to gas it all the way through.

top of 3rd for me light brakeing as soon as i let off i turned in, hit gas then counter steered mashed it all the way when bogging out a nice clutch kick would keep it going.

in black car : go FAST....turn in and when weight shifted just countersteer and just gas it thru the whole way, not one clutch kick, just steering work.
newer car, it was wet, cake , nuff said.

Exactly what I did on the black car. No clutch kick necessary.

I dont know much, but I tried 2 things. Feinting felt the best for me though. I wasnt very good at clutch kicking. And on top of that, I never made it through the complete turn.

in ocala i used weight shift and e brake. in hialeah clutch kick twice. and wall. lol

Thats why i never tried the big turn in my s12 i could probly do it in the wet but i wasnt ready to do it in the dry

First time i cought the end of it with a clutch kick, then as i got used to it, it was a clutch kick in the middle of second at the beginning of the turn with a little feint to start, and its all throttle control and steering angle after that
