Drifting at Moroso: The Post-Event Discussion Thread

This event was freeking awesome!!!

I was in pain the whole time on crutches, but the sound of cars drifting and smell of tire makes your forget it all.. THNX AGAIN TERTECH !!!

All the drivers were killing it.. these events just keep getting better and better :bigthumbu

Big ups to my AE86 brotherin out there, RIPPIN IT UP!!!
 
As late as I got there I managed to have a great F**KING time, by far one of my fav events yet.

TER-TECH, and MOROSO, for making this evnt. and also to MYCULTURE, STFUandDrive.com and Hybrid-Performance.com for making this evnt a great experince.
the track was my fav yet, love the tires in mid course. I cant wit for the next one.
-much props to all the drivers for steping up and the game and for hitting it up in the rain, but damn Rick and sebastian, you guys are awesome, it takes much skill to drive that miata and you guys pulled it off with much smoke,
thank to all the people who came to me and with advice and or feed back I apreciate it very much.

Dude you were insane out there, Awesome early entries and just insane car control.. you were the only one connecting the back and doing the tire slalom that i saw..Keep up the good work man, im hoping to reach a level of that caliber one day! :bigthumbu
 
i had a lot of fun saturday. it was good seeing ayes, and all the aero k kids.

everyone on the advanced track was going big. i bent the fuck out of my subframe and tapped the k-rail, other than that it was a blast. lesson learned, rob and i are trailering BOTH of our cars down next time.

florida is definitely stepping the game up.
thanks to moroso, ter-tech, and dougie from hybrid for always helping me out and trailering my car back.

i dont think it was him.....if the wheels were spray painted gold to look like super advans....but i could be wrong...

I would've posted earlier but I passed out yesterday. What an awesome event, an official road course drift event. I've been wanting that for years and it finally happen. A huge thanks goes to Ter-Tech, the godfathers of drifting in SFL and Florida in general.

I still want to know what happen on i95, it was basically closed down and thanks to that I got to the event like an hour or so late. I did see a blk S14 on a trailer heading up there, so that was cool :D .

I wished I could've driven the 86 on the road course but the skid pad was fun. In general I did alright. I can't remember the last time I had to tune my car for the weather so much. . .wet, dry,wet, dry settings lol. The only question I have was how did people transfer over to the road course from the skidpad?

You didnt get to do the course at all?? I saw you had a blue arm band...bummer. Next time, me and you on the road course :bigthumbu
 
Even with the crappy weather it was a great event. I didn't get to drive, but seemed like a great time. Props to moroso for allowing the event. Maybe drift events at moroso could lead to attention from the homestead track.

I was dispointed by some of the spectators because I saw a lot of horsing around like trying to slide and ruin the grass by where they were spectating at the road course. Also someone else drifting into moroso before letting us into the park. Not cool!

that was the same idiot that did it leaving.. AND he had a spot and drifted IN the event...

Some people just don't respect man. I mean, I slide on the street, but this is a different case altogether. We are trying to get respect from Moroso, and this idiot just about kills it for us.
 
Great event, glad everyone is happy, I knew the roadcourse was going to be absolutely awesome. Hats off to Harri of course for organizing everything and of course the guys who volunteered to work the course.

Unfortunately I didn't get my car finished until about noon, and I got the the track at like almost 2pm.

Thank you/sorry to anyone who I cut in front of at the event. I worked like 14hours straight before lowering the lift, taking a shower and driving over. Luckily my shop is about 35seconds from Moroso.

I just glad the car ran ok.

My runs on the roadcourse....... = WEAKSAUCE

I must admit....Not practicing for a year made me Really Really RUSTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna have to start to start practicing alot more so that I dont look so damn bad next time around.....Force of Habits were killing me!!!!!
But besides that the event was great!!!!! Big props for everyone that made this event possible. I did like that I finally met alot of new faces from the forum. Also I would like to thank everyone for trying to help me out with tips and all.......
Also I do have some vid from the event, as soon as I finish editing it I'll post it up.....
