This sounds completely logical to me since I've done similar things when I was just learning and didnt know any better. why do you guys think my old red S12 was so fucked up looking? Plus this sounds exactly like what 30% of people who run countyline do all day until they figure out the entry at the beginning, just because you entered in 3rd doesnt mean you entered balls out.

i would agree with you except he claims to have entered at 5000 rpms in third that would be stupid fast for anyone on the street that dosnt know what there doing.

bro i hit a curb in my old auto hatch trying to go sideways and then trying to correct. i bent the lower control arm 80 degress and broke my tension rod and i was only pulling 35mph when this happened. no popped tires at all either. blowing out tires the way you described would either happen with a bent rim, really low tread left or extreme tire pressures or heat. i have never heard of a regular tire popping just from bouncing unless it was a faulty tire. and in the case of that he did bend the rim he would of also have broken something. just my .02 but no one listens to me anyway
 
^ well what im saying is nobody tries to enter a drift stareing at their tach or speedo he probably glanced at it and then when he entered let off the gas and slowed down more than he realized. Shit most people at countyline think they are going really fast into the entry and not realize they are actually going pretty slow. When those people ask me for advise I usually tell them to go faster and they look at me funny.

and about the tires popping I have seen this with a friend of mine he didnt bend anything, the curb actually put a square hole right into the sidewall of the tire. My guess is he's prbly running high aspect ratio tires like 60's or 65's with big sidwalls unlike you with your 17's and 45 series, yeah you will bend a rim with those.

yea i understand that part. i thought i was going faster when i crashed but as i remember just cruising at 35 before i decided to take the turn with out slowing down and when i went dirt sliding i thought that i was going fast enough but i learned that i need to pick up speed a tiny bit.
 
yea i have the stock 15's with big side walls and the car has been sitting for almost 2 yrs with the same tires so they were bald and full of cracks
 
Maybe you meant you put it in 3rd, Clutch kicked up to 5000 something rpm, and then fucked up (probably cause it gripped immediatley and shot you into a curb).

i know,but i was just really happy cause i finally fixed the main problem on it so me and the guys at the shop were racing on an empty strip and i decide i wanted to see if i could drift in 3rd gear and then all that shit happened
